What’s the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?

Infrared saunas use light to heat your body directly, rather than warming the air around you. This creates a deeper, detoxifying sweat at a lower temperature—making it more comfortable and accessible than traditional saunas.

How long should I stay in the sauna?

Start with 20–30 minutes per session. Once your body acclimates, you can build up to 40 minutes. Always listen to your body and stay hydrated throughout.

What should I do before and after my sauna session?

Hydrate well and wear light clothing or a towel. After your session, rinse off, continue hydrating, and take a few moments to rest. Pro tip: alternate with a cold plunge for enhanced hot/cold therapy.

Can I use the sauna after a workout?

Yes—many members love using the sauna post-Lagree. It’s great for reducing muscle soreness, calming the nervous system, and speeding up recovery.

How often should I use the infrared sauna?

For general wellness, 1–2 times per week is perfect. For muscle recovery, stress relief, or detox, up to 4–5 sessions per week can be beneficial—just keep hydrating and listen to your body.

How long should I stay in the cold plunge?

Start with 1–2 minutes and work your way up to 3–5 minutes as your body adjusts. The key is staying calm and focused—quality over quantity.

How often should I cold plunge?

Begin with once per week, then gradually increase as your tolerance and comfort improve.

How cold is the water?

Our plunge is kept between 50–55°F, which is ideal for reducing inflammation and stimulating recovery without over-stressing your body. It’s brisk, but invigorating.

Should I sauna or plunge first?

That’s up to you! Some prefer cold first for the energy boost, others end with it. If you sauna after plunging, we recommend doing a few deep breaths and warming up naturally before stepping in.

Is it better to plunge before or after a workout?

For recovery and soreness relief, plunging after your workout is ideal. Some athletes also use it in the morning to wake up their system and sharpen focus.
